Grit is perseverance and passion for long term goals and is what many believe to be the key to success. This workshop will teach attendees the importance of incorporating opportunities to practice qualities of grit in an educational setting. These strategies include understanding optimistic thinking, using a growth mindset, and ways to integrate goal-setting into the regular academic curriculum. After a brief overview of the presenter's research on teaching grit to fifth grader. attendees will have the chance to participate in hands-on activities related to the topic.
